NN Precision Engineering Scholarship

Autocam

Established by Autocam Corporation in 2012 to encourage engineering careers in West Michigan. Autocam, now a division of NN, Inc., is a worldwide manufacturer of precision machined components for many advancing industries around the world. Autocam attributes the company’s success to its continuous process improvement culture and employee involvement.

The Autocam Precision Components Group is encouraging students to learn about advanced manufacturing and its impact on emerging technologies. This scholarship seeks to support students from Michigan who may have limited exposure to advanced manufacturing and to raise awareness of the positive impact advanced manufacturing is having across many industries around the world.

This scholarship is designed to encourage students who are interested in practical engineering and educate young people about the changes in the advanced manufacturing field that have taken place over the last 20 years. By providing scholarship support to students from Michigan who may have limited exposure to manufacturing, they hope to raise awareness among college aged populations about advanced manufacturing and ultimately improve the image of manufacturing that is portrayed in popular culture.
