Due to prerequisites, the sequencing of courses for the Human Centered Computing major is determined by initial math placement. Math placement can be determined from test scores, GPA, incoming credit, or by taking the math proficiency tests.

If you started at Grand Valley before Fall 2025, you will need to update your catalog year before you are able to declare Human-Centered Computing as your major in myBanner. When you begin your education at GVSU you are given a catalog year based on when you enroll in classes.
