Combined Degree (Accelerated B.S & M.S)

Grand Valley State University’s Combined Bachelor’s and Master’s in Cell and Molecular Biology (CMB) allows qualified undergraduates to earn both degrees in an accelerated timeframe.

Students admitted to the program may begin graduate-level courses after completing 90 undergraduate credits. Up to 12 graduate credits can count toward both the B.S. and M.S. Students earning a grade of “B” or higher gain advanced standing in the M.S. program and complete 23 additional graduate credits, including an internship and graduate capstone, to earn the master’s degree.

After completing 120 undergraduate credits and all bachelor’s requirements, students are awarded a B.S. and transition to graduate status, paying graduate tuition for remaining coursework.
