Master of Science and Specialist in School Psychology
Requirements for M.S. and Psy.S. in School Psychology
Students admitted into the graduate program in school psychology must complete 63 semester credit hours over the course of three years, including a full-time, year-long internship. The M.S. degree will be conferred upon satisfactory completion of the first three semesters and the Psy.S. degree will be conferred upon completion of the remaining coursework and the full-year internship. The program accepts one cohort (beginning in the fall semester) each year. Students must enroll full-time in the program. The required curriculum is as follows.
Year One

- PSY 522 - Behavioral Foundations (3 credits)
- PSY 524 - Developmental Psychopathology (3 credits)
- PSY 621 - School Psychology Assessment I (3 credits)
- PSY 642 - School Psychology Assessment Practicum (1 credit)
Winter Semester:
- PSY 533 - School-Based Behavior Interventions (3 credits)
- PSY 534 - Mental Health in the Schools (4 credits)
- PSY 537 - School-Based Academic Interventions (3 credits)
- PSY 622 - School Psychology Assessment II (3 credits)
- PSY 642 - School Psychology Assessment Practicum (1 credit)
Summer Semester:
- PSY 550 - Research in Applied Settings (3 credits)
