SOC 351 - Urban Sociology

Explores urban theory, including Chicago School, political economy, pluralist and postmodern approaches; the evolution of U.S. cities; suburbanization, immigration, race relations, street life, redevelopment, urban politics and planning, and international comparison. Readings focus on urban theory, specific cities, and methods. Part of Cities theme. Offered fall semester. Prerequisite: SOC 201.
