Conversations on Scholarship with Rachel Peterson
October 25, 2010
Please join us on Monday, October 25th in Lake Ontario Hall, room #167 at noon for Liberal Studies Professor Rachel Peterson's discussion on:
"Theodore Ward's Dramatic Enactments of the Triple Burden and Revolution."
Professor Peterson explores once renowned African American Communist playwright, Theodore Ward, who wrote between the 1930s and 1970s, and his prescient and profound understanding of intersectionality as depicted in narratives wherein men become galvanized into radical action upon recognizing the oppression and militancy of female characters.
