Student Reception: Opportunities for Community Engagement in Anthropology

September 08, 2015

Event date: Thursday, September 17, 2015

Time: 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Location: KC 2215

Students are invited to attend a Reception and learn about special opportunities for students interested in service learning and internships. This is your chance to gather and socialize with faculty, community partners, and each other. Several community organizations will be featured, such as the Bethany Refugee Resettlement Services.

The Reception launches a new initiative by the Anthropology Department aimed at strengthening collaborations with our community partners.

Students can stop by the event at any time. Come browse the many resource tables and talk with reps from community organizations.

Sponsored by the Anthropology Department and the Engaged Department Initiative (EDI). For event information, contact Deana Weibel, 227 Lake Michigan Hall, [email protected], (616) 331-3346. For more info on the EDI, contact the Office of Community Engagement, [email protected].
