Kelsey became a member of the AEP in 2010 and spent three field seasons in Alaska. Over the years she worked on several research projects under Dr. Hollister. She presented her work at several venues including El Paso, Texas and Begun, Switzerland. She published a paper as lead author as an undergraduate.

Kelsey graduated from GVSU in April, 2013 with a BS in Biology and minor in Chemistry. Kelsey is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Biology at the University of Notre Dame and is continuing in Arctic research for her graduate studies.
