The East Asian studies minor is an interdisciplinary program that explores the rich histories, cultures, and societies of China, Japan, and Korea. This program emphasizes the importance of East Asia in shaping global interconnections and equips students with the intercultural knowledge and competence needed to navigate an increasingly globalized world.
You will take a variety of courses that cover East Asian history, languages, literature, philosophy, religion, politics, and art. Elective courses allow students to delve deeper into specific areas of interest, such as Chinese politics, Japanese literature, and Asian art. The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience, ensuring that students develop a well-rounded understanding of East Asian studies.
