LGBTQ Minor
The lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) studies minor is an integrative, interdisciplinary program that examines issues and debates about sexuality and gender. Engaging in analysis of the intersections of sexuality and gender with race, class, and national identity, LGBTQ studies equips students with critical thinking, writing, and leadership skills that will prepare them for a wide range of careers.
Program Overview
The LGBTQ minor requires completion of at least 21 credits, including the following core courses:
- WGS 224: Introduction to LGBTQ Studies
- WGS 365: Queer Theory
- WGS 491: Contemporary Theory and Practicum
