Medical laboratory scientists perform complex analyses to develop data on blood, tissues, and fluids of the human body. These laboratory tests play an important role in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of many diseases.

Program Offerings at Grand Valley

Graduates receive a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in MLS. Students spend five semesters completing their general education and core science courses, followed by three semesters of MLS professional courses. After admission to the program, students complete professional coursework, which includes clinical rotation through an affiliated hospital laboratory. MLS is a secondary admission program.
