Juvenile Justice minor

The juvenile justice minor is designed to promote an awareness and understanding of the issues related to juvenile justice. Topics range from the causes of juvenile delinquency including youth culture, to juvenile justice system responses from the point of custody to adjudication, and juvenile correctional philosophies and practices.

Legal Studies, B.A., B.S.

The legal studies major involves the study of law and contemporary issues related to law as part of a liberal education. The American Bar Association approved B.A./B.S. focuses on both theory and practice and prepares students for work as paralegals and for other careers in the field of law.

The paralegal studies certificate prepares students for work as paralegals and for careers in the field of law. This American Bar Association approved program focuses on both theory and practice and is open to current Grand Valley students and students who have completed a bachelor's degree at another institution.
