KCON supports the overall university tradition of liberal education, offering undergraduate degree programs that are well-integrated and accredited, with a state-of-the-art concept-based curriculum. Students receive instruction and gain knowledge in our learning labs, through simulation exercises, and in clinical experiences.

Students accepted into the program may take up to four, three-credit graduate-level communication courses for a total of 12 credits their senior year. Taken in lieu of free electives, they will count toward the fulfillment of requirements for both their baccalaureate and graduate degrees.

Pre-requisite: Applicants without healthcare experience as defined by the admission requirements will be required to take PHN 630 - Health Administration and Service. The certificate content will be delivered in a series of three

Professional nurses perform a wide variety of functions including direct patient care, health care counseling, and leadership in providing and managing care for individuals and groups of clients. Nurses are members of health care teams and may work in hospitals,
homes, the community, clinics, or industry - wherever people need care
or health education.

The program is designed to enhance effectiveness and leadership skills central to various applications of professional communication in fields such as advertising, broadcasting, public relations, media, health communication, and research.
