| Coursework |
Candidates for undergraduate teacher certification earn a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree or Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) in an approved major program. In addition to their degree requirements, students seeking teacher certification must meet the requirements of a teachable major and complete the education major/professional education requirements. Students must also pass the appropriate Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC): https://mttc.nesinc.com/

| Application Deadline |

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Deadlines for international students are May 1 for fall and October 15 for winter; domestic student deadlines are July 1 for fall and December 1 for winter. The $30 nonrefundable application fee is waived if the applicant has previously applied to GVSU.
