The Graduate Student Advisory Board members serve as liaisons between students and administration. Following are the names of the Advisory Board members and a little information about each of them.  

 

Stélios Alvarez is a full-time MBA student and graduate assistant for the Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center. He earned a B.A. in French, Spanish, and International Studies from Hope College.

 

Erik Anderson is employed for Art Optical Contact Lens, Inc.  He earned a B.S. in biomedical science from Grand Valley State University and is currently pursuing the M.B.A.

 

Andrew Burnett is a full-time student pursuing the M.S.A. He also has a B.B.A. in accounting from Grand Valley State University. 

 

Patrick Casey earned both B.S. and B.A. from Michigan State University in psychology and human resource management.  He is pursuing the M.B.A.  He is employed by Kellogg Community College as coordinator of employment services. 

 

Carrie Doran is pursuing the M.B.A.  She works as a manager of customer service at Benefit Group, LLC and earned a bachelor's degree in business from Northwood University. 

 

Adam Ferguson earned a B.A. in public relations from Grand Valley State University. He is pursuing the M.B.A. and is employed by Baker Publishing Group as a publicist.

 

Alaina Furr earned a B.S. in biomedical sciences from Grand Valley State University and a master’s degree in forensic science from University of New Haven. She is a realtor with Greenridge Realty, Inc. and also an adjunct instructor in the Chemistry Department at Grand Valley State University.

 

Shane Moore earned a B.B.A. in Marketing and Management from Grand Valley State University. He is pursuing the M.B.A. and is employed as an operations manager for G.O.C.

 

Patrick Murphy earned a B.A. in political science from Hope College. He is a finance manager with Robinson Equipment and is pursuing the M.B.A.

 

Erin Pinkster is pursuing the M.B.A.  Erin is employed by Meijer, Inc. as a senior continuous auditor.  She earned a B.B.A. at Western Michigan University in accounting.

 

Rennie Ramlal is pursuing the M.B.A. He earned a B.Sc. in electrical and computer engineering from University of the West Indies. Rennie is a full-time student and graduate assistant for the Economics Department.

 

Amanda Remo is pursuing the M.S.A. as a full-time student. She earned a B.B.A. in accounting and finance from Grand Valley State University. 

 

Nick Simatos is employed as a credit analyst for Huntington National Bank. He earned a B.B.A. in finance from Grand Valley State University and is pursuing the M.B.A.

 

Jane Snow earned a B.B.A. in marketing from Grand Valley State University and is currently employed for Graphic Arts Service and Supply, Inc. as an accountant. She is pursuing the M.S.A.

 

Bryan Thieme earned a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering from Ferris State University. He is employed by Johnson Controls as an electronics product engineer and is pursuing the M.B.A.

 

Melissa Vegter earned a B.S. in business administration from State University of New York at Binghamton. She is a systems analyst at Medallion IS and is pursuing the M.B.A.

 

Todd Weaver is employed for Universal Forest Products as a financial reporting and planning analyst.  He earned a B.A. in finance from Hillsdale College and is pursuing the M.B.A.
