Admitted GVSU Students

If you are a freshman or sophomore interested in business, you will be admitted to the Seidman pre-business program. As a Seidman pre-business student, you will enroll in general education and introductory 200-level business courses which are designed to develop a base upon which your business education will build.

After earning 55 semester hours with a minimum 2.75 grade point average, you are admitted to the upper-division major programs. During your junior and senior years, you will take a core of business administration preparation courses in different disciplines to give you a strong general business background. Additionally, you will complete courses applicable to one of the specific majors offered.

If you are incoming freshman who meets the national merit scholarship criteria of a 26 a higher composite score on the ACT and a 3.5 or higher high school GPA, you will be invited to enter the Seidman College as a freshman. This honor is reserved only for students who meet the above criteria. To continue early-admitted status, you must maintain an overall GPA of 2.75.
