What's Changing with Applicant Management?

Current State

Search committee can view all submitted applications in PageUp. PageUp automatically sends email communications to incomplete applicants if there is an application deadline and HR Business Partners can send ad hoc communications. All other communications are sent by the search chair or the HR Business Partner.

Future State

Workday does not store incomplete application information and does not send reminder communications. The search committee will view applications that have been reviewed by their Human Resources Business Partner and Affirmative Action. The search committee will not be able to view the applicants that Human Resources dispositioned (not selected). An applicant that has not been moved forward for an interview by the search committee will automatically receive a disposition (non-selection) communication. Ad hoc communications must be sent to any candidate that has been interviewed and dispositioned.

Who is Impacted?

  • Search Chair
  • Search Committee

Benefits

  • Search Committee will not need to spend time reviewing unqualified applications
  • All applicants will receive timely communication on their application status

Potential Challenges

  • Waiting for the applicant pool to be released to the search committee

Other Important Information

  • Applicants will receive an email communication immediately after they are moved due to a non-selection reason. There is no option to recall that message. As a committee, you must be 100% certain you are ready to move them to not selected.
