Turning Passion Into Action: Undergraduate Research & Advocacy

PRESENTERS:  Anna Hammersmith (faculty) and Rhian Williams (Undergraduate Student)

This session is designed for undergraduate students who have are change agents for social justice in their world. This session will equip students with the tools to identify and develop portable skills which will help turn their passion into action in their programs and communities. Attendees will discuss sources of inspiration, methods of action, time management, and several other concepts related to dynamics of power, privilege, and advocacy in the undergraduate career. We will discuss the role of research in social justice advocacy and identify community and collegiate resources to support social justice work on and off campus. (Roundtable)
