Program Details: East China Normal University

ECNU

Is this program for me?

China is home to one fifth of the world’s population, and has the world’s oldest uninterrupted cultures. It’s breathtaking landscape, ancient history, vibrant culture, and rich traditions make it an ideal place to study. China is transforming economically and technologically in incredible ways that will impact the future of our global society. East China Normal University (ECNU) is located in Shanghai and is considered a leading University in China for higher education.

ECNU hosts numerous international students each year and welcomes exchange students from GVSU into the Global Curriculum Program. This program requires that students accept a high level of independence, and self-reliance. While there are some basic support services available through this program, participants should not expect to receive the same level and types of support they are accustomed to at home. This program is ideal for students who are seeking a full immersion into a highly regarded Chinese university. Courses are available in English. Additionally, students can also take Chinese language courses.
