External Internships
These external internship programs are offered by provider organizations who specialize in making internship placements abroad. They are unpaid internships and are credit-bearing placements.
Credit
Students take an internship course through one of the provider organizations below. Upon successful completion of this course, students are given a transcript which they can then use to transfer the credits back to GVSU. This transcript often has an additional charge, which is listed below, and can be accredited through a School of Record that the organization works with (ex. API transcripts come from Nichols College).
PLEASE NOTE: some programs (Engineering, Nursing, Computer Science, Exercise Science) do not allow their 490 course requirement to be fulfilled by transfer credit. Students in these programs must consider GVSU Approved Programs to fulfill their GVSU 490 course.
