The I am Grand Valley awards, presented by the Office of Student Life, recognize Grand Valley students who lead by example. Since 2003, Grand Valley has celebrated these students for their leadership, dedication, and hard work here at Grand Valley. Recipients include student employees, leaders in student organizations, resident assistants, students that excel in the classroom, and more. Students can be nominated by anyone in the Grand Valley community through a noncompetitive process. I am Grand Valley is an opportunity to thank and honor the student leaders here at Grand Valley and celebrate what it means to be a Laker.

I am Grand Valley will be a year-round recognition program! You will have the opportunity to nominate Grand Valley's finest student leaders for recognition in real time, celebrating the contributions that make the Valley an incredible place to learn, grow, and lead. Recipients will receive their certificate in the Kirkhof Lobby on the designated "I am Grand Valley Days" and will be invited to an end-of-year reception to celebrate a year of Leading Like a Laker!
