Statistics Book Grant
To be eligible to apply for the Statistics Book Scholarship, the student must satisfy all of the following by the time of application:
- Currently enrolled in one of the following programs:
- Undergraduate major in Statistics or Data Science and Analytics
- Undergraduate minor in Mathematical Statistics, Applied Statistics, or Data Science
- Master's degree in Applied Statistics, Biostatistics, or Data Science and Analytics
- Currently enrolled in at least one STA designated course;
- Overall GPA of 3.0 or better.
- STA designated credit hours completed by time of application: at least 6
- Total credit hours completed by time of application:
- Undergraduate student applicants: at least 45
- Graduate student applicants: at least 9
Grants of $200 will be awarded to multiple students.

- Two will be available for students majoring in statistics
- One will be available to students with a minor in mathematical statistics, applied statistics or data science
- One will be available to students in the master's degree programs for Applied Statistics, Biostatistics, or Data Science and Analytics
Each of the scholarships will be given to honor the student for outstanding performance and to encourage the student to continue in statistics at that level of excellence.
The above items will be considered in the evaluation of candidates for a scholarship. In addition, the faculty will consider the candidate’s performance in statistics courses at GVSU and any additional activities or collaborative research/projects that the candidate has conducted with a statistics faculty member.

Statistics Tuition Grant
To be eligible to apply for the Statistics Book Scholarship, the student must satisfy all of the following by the time of application:
- Must be a full-time student.
- Currently enrolled in one of the following programs:
- Undergraduate major in Statistics or Data Science and Analytics
- Master's degree in Applied Statistics, Biostatistics, or Data Science and Analytics
- Currently enrolled in at least one STA designated course;
- Overall GPA of 3.2 or better.
- STA designated credit hours completed by time of application:
- Undergraduate student applicants: at least 9
- Graduate student applicants: at least 6
- Total credit hours completed by time of application:
- Undergraduate student applicants: at least 45
- Graduate student applicants: at least 9
A grant of at least $500 will be awarded at least one student.

Scholarships of at least $500 will be available. Each scholarship will be given to a statistics major to honor the student for outstanding performance and to encourage that student to continue in statistics at that level of excellence.

Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible to apply for the Statistics Tuition Scholarship, the student must satisfy all of the following:
- Continuing to take STA courses: applicants are expected to take at least one course with an STA designation:
- during Fall 2023 semester
- during Winter 2024 semester (this requirement is waived for students graduating in December 2023)
