Plastinated specimens are authentic human specimens and present an up-close look at human anatomy. Plastinates are accurate representations of preserved bodies illustrating all functional structures perfectly.
The Anatomage Table is a 3D anatomy visualization and virtual dissection tool for anatomy and physiology education. Anatomage offers 4 gross anatomy cases, more than 20 high-resolution regional anatomy cases, and more than 1,000 pathological examples.
There are several assessment labs throughout the GVSU Interprofessional Simulation Center.

Each lab is outfitted with either hospital beds, outpatient exam tables, or plinth tables and are utilized by all programs.
This lab is setup to resemble a residential home complete with a full kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room, and dining room.
Students utilizing this lab learn how to conduct home visits and help patients function in their own surroundings.

The Model Living Suite has the ability to stream and record encounters allowing students to observe their classmates and watch their encounter later.
The GVSU Interprofessional Simulation Center has an operating room which allows students to practice periop procedures.

The lab is equipped with a Skytron OR boom and a Skytron surgical table.
Task trainers are models that represents a part or region of the human body such as an arm, or an abdomen. Task trainers teach and give feedback on manual skills such as IV insertion, ultrasound scanning, suturing, etc. Generally used to support procedural skills training; however, they can be used in conjunction with other learning technologies to create integrated clinical situations (Healthcare Simulation Dictionary 2025).
Below is a list of task trainers available for lab and simulation events. For detailed information about specific task trainer requirements, please reach out to the Simulation Lab team.
