The 10th annual sHaPe Camp will be held July 2019
sHaPe (Summer Health Activities and Professions Exploration) is a one-week day camp introduction to the health professions for boys and girls currently in 7th and 8th grades. Students participate in activities that provide hands-on exposure to a variety of health professions including physical therapy, medical lab science, sports medicine, and more!
Program activities include collecting data in a laboratory setting, using modern medical equipment, understanding different types of therapies for various injuries and disabilities, and experiencing a field trip to Mercy Health - Saint Mary’s Campus!
Besides learning there is a lot of fun! There are lots of activities that include physical movement and team building with great hot lunches provided.
sHaPe Camp is Award Winning!
sHaPe Camp is a 2018 Hometown Health Heroes award recipient, given by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. The purpose of the Hometown Health Hero award is to recognize individuals and organizations which have made significant contributions to protect and improve their community’s health.
