Duties of Volunteer
Help at-risk youth between ages 17-24 work to accomplish their goal of receiving their GED. Areas of focus include science, social studies, language arts and math!

Details of special training
Anyone looking to gain experience working with youth who are challenged academically, upcoming teachers wishing to gain more exposure to education, social workers, anyone who is skilled in these subjects and willing to work with young adults who are less fortunate, but looking to improve their lives. Lesson planning in these areas is a plus. Training in handling environments with high numbers of minorities is also a plus.

Details of special skills
Volunteers need to be flexible, and committed. Great communication, understanding of students needs and backgrounds are very important. We need people who are committed to education and wanting to see students succeed academically.
