Fall in Love with STEM 2019

The West Michigan chapter of the Association for Women in Science (AWIS-WM) is proud to present the fourth annual Fall in Love with STEM events on Saturday, February 16 at Hope College, and Saturday, February 23 at GVSU and GRCC.
STEM faculty and college students are hosting interactive workshops and activities for middle and high school students in various locations on two dates. Workshops include extracting DNA from a banana, an engineering challenge, playing math games and logic puzzles, exploring electricity and magnetism, and using green chemistry!
February 16 – Hope College
9 a.m. – 12 noon
- Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Nursing, and Computer Science for middle school girls
February 23 – GVSU
Allendale campus: 9 a.m. – 12 noon
- Cell and Molecular Biology, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
February 23 – GRCC
1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
- Biology, Geology, Mathematics, Astronomy, Chemistry
