Someone in this career field would oversee the college's study abroad programs, advise students and faculty, implement changes within international or study abroad programs, and hold orientation programs for students. A Master's degree may required for some positions within the field.

    1. Dr. Ellen Shupe, a psychology faculty member, offers a study abroad program centered on peace, conflict and resolution in Northern Ireland.

What skills would be beneficial to have in this career? Language and communication skills are highly important and valued in this career field. In addition, the ability to maintain interpersonal relationships, make decisions and problem solve, as well as organize, plan and prioritize work are also important.
