About the Laker Hub

Channel 46.3

Tune in!

Anywhere on campus, airing 24/7

The Laker Hub is a GVSU cable channel, started in August 2017. Tune in anywhere on campus to see campus event ads, video, and other content. The Promotions Office (and Student Life) maintains the channel, with the goal of educating and informing the campus community about campus happenings and more.

The Laker Hub runs on the 2 TVs in the Kirkhof Lobby, 1 TV in the Office of Student Life, and in Kirkhof dining locations whenever Kirkhof is open. Plasma Ads, which used to only run in Kirkhof Center, now run on the Laker Hub. Thanks to this change, people will see your content on even more TVs around campus. Design/print packages through Promotions used to include Plasma Ads, and they now include Digital Slides through the Laker Hub.

The channel is student-focused, featuring content about getting involved, utilizing resources to be successful, and celebrating being a Laker!

Slide Design Standards

Designing your own slide

The design of digital signage should be clean, simple, and brief— viewers should be able to comprehend slides easily within a few seconds. Digital slides are very different from posters, so it's important to eliminate unnecessary clutter and only include essential information. Content airing on the Laker Hub should look cohesive and adhere to GVSU's Identity Standards.
