December 03, 2025
Olivia Robach (PLS and IR double major) earned a scholarship to join student scholars from around the US to attend the annual conference of the World Affairs Council in Washington, DC in November 2025. She attended panels and participated in conversations that, “deepened my understanding of global affairs in ways that truly resonated with my coursework in Political Science and International Relations.” While in DC, Olivia had the opportunity to visit the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, The World Bank, and the Delegation of the European Union to the US. She also visited the Embassies of Mexico and Canada to the US, and engaged directly with diplomats from Türkiye, Poland, Liechtenstein, the Philippines, Egypt, Malta, and Mexico. Olivia notes that, “Speaking with leaders actively shaping global policy was a powerful reminder of how essential dialogue, curiosity, and global awareness are for the next generation of professionals.”
