Political Science Majors Win University Awards

Two Political Science majors were named winners of prestigious university-wide awards this week.

Senior Faith Kidd won the Thomas A. Seykora Award, which recognizes a student who has made significant contributions to the GVSU campus community through campus involvement. Faith currently serves as the Vice President of Educational Affairs for the GVSU Student Senate, and she is also a Cook Leadership Academy fellow at the Hauenstein Center.

Junior Alexis Krichevsky won the Gayle R. Davis Award, which recognizes a first generation college student who shows a promising future as a leader. The award is named for former Provost Gayle R. Davis (2002-2017), who was herself a first generation student. Alexis has been a Student Senator for three years and is currently the Vice President for Senate Resources.

Faith and Alexis will be honored with other award winners at the Student Awards Convocation on April 11. Congratulations to Faith and Alexis!
