This Year's Outstanding Paper Award Winner

Samantha Post is this year’s winner of the Outstanding Paper Award. Samantha’s paper, “A Path to Cooperation: Fukuyama, Identity, Resentment and Inequality," was written for PLS 495.

Samantha graduated magna cum laude from GVSU this May, with double majors in political science and geography. She received the Excellence in a Discipline Award for geography. Samantha is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society, the Gamma Theta Upsilon Geography Honors Society, and the Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honors Society. She plans to spend the next few years exploring career paths and gaining experience before pursuing her master’s.

Samantha is the first in her immediate family to graduate college and is a nontraditional student. She lives in Holland with her partner of 11 years, 12-year-old step-daughter, chihuahua, two cats, and several dozen houseplants. Congratulations on your award, Samantha!
