Political Science Department Faculty Member Visits Washington, DC

Political Science Department faculty member Michelle Miller-Adams visited Washington, DC, on October 24-26 in her capacity as an expert on place-based scholarship programs. During the visit, she participated in the 8th PromiseNet conference, leading a research plenary session and moderating several other events. The following day she attended the White House Community College Convening, speaking on a panel entitled "Evidence for Program Design and Decision-Making." The event highlighted means for strengthening community college access and improving college readiness. Following the conference, Professor Miller-Adams was privileged to attend a reception at the U.S. Naval Observatory, home of Vice President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden.
