2026 Internship Spotlight
Rachel is completing her graduate internship with the Sylvia and Richard Kaufman Interfaith Institute as part of Grand Valley State University's Master of Public Administration program. Her internship project is a comparative analysis of leadership development and curriculum models across the Kaufman Interfaith Institute, the Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies, and the Padnos/Sarosik Center for Civil Discourse. Through interviews with organizational leaders, participant observation, curriculum analysis, and organizational assessment, she is examining how each center develops leaders, designs transformational learning experiences, and measures participant growth. The project also identifies opportunities for collaboration and shared leadership development across the three centers.
