Description

Like most universities, GVSU has an increasingly neurodiverse student population. Mentors can play critical roles in supporting students with Autism, ADHD or other types of neurodiversity in their college experiences, and help prepare them for post-graduate success.

This two-part series is designed for faculty and staff, and provides a strengths-based approach to understanding and supporting neurodiverse students. Sessions will occur virtually and will include a combination of lecture and small group discussion.  Participants should plan to attend both sessions.

Facilitated by Jamie Owen-DeSchryver, Psychology, and presented by the Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarship (OURS).
