Description

Curious about getting started in undergraduate research? Stop by anytime between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. to connect with the Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarship (OURS) team! This drop-in workshop is a relaxed space to:

  • Asklast-minute questions about connecting with faculty mentors

  • Learn about OURS program fellowships and summer research opportunities

  • Discover how to find research programs that fit your interests

  • And of course, grab a snack while you’re here!

This session will introduce students to the ins and outs of undergraduate research. What it is (and isn’t), what to expect from different types of research experiences, and how to get started on your own research journey.

These workshops are designed especially for first-year undergraduates and new transfer students who are just beginning to explore research and creative scholarship, but all students are welcome to attend.

Facilitated by:
Dantya Jennings, Associate Director
Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarship (OURS)

This event also appears on the main events calendar tagged as cuse, lakerwelcome, ours, research, and student.
