Rebeca Barajas-Juarez

Success Coach

Rebeca Barajas-Juarez (she/her/hers) has served as a Student Success Coach in the Office of Student Support and Belonging since 2021. She works closely with students from all backgrounds and currently oversees various scholarship programs in the office, including Challenge Scholars, Wade H. McCree, and Kalamazoo Promise. Outside of the office, Rebeca serves as the Co-Chair for Lakers Unidos (GVSU's Latino/a/x Faculty Staff Association) and is a member of the Working Scholarship and Dream Fund Committees (with the Grand Rapids Community Foundation). Rebeca earned her bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University in Behavioral Neuroscience with minors in Latin American Studies and Psychology, and is currently working towards her master’s degree in Higher Education.

Cleotis Graham

Graduate Assistant

Cleotis Graham (he/him/his) serves as a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Student Support and Belonging. A proud alumnus of Albany State University’s Class of 2024, Cleotis made history as the youngest graduate from the Mass Communication Department—earning his degree at just 20 years old. Now continuing his academic journey at Grand Valley State University through the HBCU/HSI Consortium program, Cleotis is committed to making a meaningful impact and paving the way for future students to follow in his footsteps.
