After graduating in April 2016, Ryan spent the summer working as a German language instructor at Concordia Language Villages in Bemidji, Minnesota, and then as a hiking guide in the Canadian Rockies for German-speaking tourists. Following that, he left the U.S. in March 2017 to teach English in South Korea through the English Program in Korea (EPIK). Ryan currently teaches at two public middle schools in Ulsan, South Korea. In his time there he's been able to travel quite a bit throughout East Asia as well as pick up a new language. Most recently, Ryan passed the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) level 4! Ryan is currently in Germany in the middle of a two-year bilingual Master's program in Intercultural Communication and European Studies.
