Talent Pipeline and STEM Events at Muskegon Community College Sturrus Technology Center

April 17, 2020 – Middle School Grades 6 & 7
May 8, 2020 – High School Grades 9 & 10
May 15, 2020 – High School Grades 11 & 12
June 5, 2020 – Elementary Grades 4 & 5

Talent Pipeline & STEM Events for K-12 Schools
Due to limited space, each district will be limited to one group per event.

Event will include:
• 20-minute overview of manufacturing and skilled trade careers and educational pathways.
• 100-minute self-guided tour of the Sturrus Technology Center that will include 5 stops (CAD/Engineering, Automation, Machining, Welding, and Foundry).  At each stop, students will be able to interact with a representative from a local company who will explain their product line and careers at their organization.  Additionally, MCC students will explain their education pathway for their careers.
• 40 minutes in the Lakeshore Fab Lab where students will interact with multiple STEM activities including 3-D printers, virtual reality, robotics, etc.
