Research consultants are highly-trained students ready to help you improve your library research skills. Research consultants can help you:

- Navigate databases, government websites, and citation manuals
- Understand terms like "peer-reviewed" and "scholarly"
- Differentiate between primary and secondary sources
- Read and evaluate sources for credibility and relevance
- Cite research and create annotated bibliographies

Research consultants help students with library research, including:
- Brainstorming and narrowing topics
- Exploring existing research
- Finding quality information, including peer-reviewed and scholarly sources
- Reading and evaluating sources
- Avoiding plagiarism
- Citing sources
Research consultants work in the Knowledge Market alongside consultants from writing, speech, and digital skills. We work around your class schedule and offer many leadership opportunities.
- Starting wage: $11.07/hour
