Technology Recommendations for Academic Success

Ensuring student success in today's digital age hinges significantly on providing reliable technology in the classroom. GVSU provides students access to technology in several ways:

  • Open computer labs with access to all course-related software are conveniently located across all campuses.
  • Virtual computer labs extend access to course-related software from remote locations.
  • Loaner laptops are available for short-term use.
  • And now, an affordable laptop can be purchased through a new pilot program called Laptops for Lakers.

Laptops have been shown to be essential tools for keeping connected to other students and courses, accessing educational resources, participating in virtual classrooms, and completing assignments efficiently. Without adequate technology, students can face significant barriers to learning, which may hinder their academic progress and overall educational experience. If a lack of adequate technology is limiting your excellence at GVSU, please reach out to the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships for support.
