Wednesday, September 9: LASC Study Tables Start
Week 2/3 is all about creating structure for your semester. Assignments, practices, and deadlines are starting to pile up; this is the perfect time to get organized and make a plan.
Time Management Basics
Start by setting priorities: What needs to be done first? Break big projects into smaller steps and add important dates to your calendar as soon as you know about them. Staying ahead now saves stress later. Pick a day of the week to sit down and write out all assignments and plan time to complete everything.
Finding a Planner That Works
Planners aren’t one-size-fits-all. Choose what works best for you! Think big picture and small picture; a semester or monthly calendar needs a more detailed weekly!
Here's some examples of planners: physical/ written planner, whiteboard, digital (Notion, Google Calendar, myHomework, Phone Reminders, etc.)
Helpful Tools & Resources
Digital planners like Google Calendar and Notion can help keep you on track. You can also try timeboxing; dedicating blocks of time for specific tasks to manage your day more effectively.
Success Coaches are available to meet through the Student Academic Success Center (SASC) to help you build better study habits, manage your schedule, and stay organized throughout the semester.
