Supporting the Kirkhof College of Nursing
The Kirkhof College of Nursing (KCON) provides students with a rigorous, patient-centered education and the critical and creative thinking skills needed to successfully face the challenges of our changing health care system. We work diligently to prepare our students in a supportive environment with excellent faculty and resources and strong connections to the practice community.
Private gifts fund important educational areas such as scholarships, research, and hands-on learning not covered by tuition dollars or state aid, which are a necessity for many of our students. In addition, the recruitment and retention of faculty and students who reflect the diversity of our population have been identified as essential strategies to address U. S. health care disparities. Because of gifts that support these needs, our students are able to pursue their passions and ultimately make positive impacts on the health of our communities.
