7th Annual World Voice Day – GVSU

World Voice Day is an international celebration dedicated to raising awareness about the voice- a vital yet often overlooked tool central to communication, teaching, performance, and professional identity. For educators, instructors, and voice users, the voice is not just a means of expression but an essential instrument that deserves care, understanding, and evidence-based support.

Grand Valley State University is proud to host its 7th Annual World Voice Day Virtual Event, bringing together experts from laryngology, speech-language pathology, music, theatre, and voice pedagogy. This interdisciplinary program highlights vocal health, vocal loading and fatigue, phonotrauma, clinical voice therapy, and performance-based voice techniques, with practical insights relevant to classrooms, studios, clinics, and performance spaces.

Whether you are a university professor, instructor, graduate or undergraduate student, voice teacher, clinician, or performer, this event offers an opportunity to deepen your understanding of vocal function, prevention of voice disorders, and strategies to support healthy and sustainable voice use. Join us to learn, reflect, and celebrate the voice as a shared resource across disciplines and professions.
