IPE Student Badge

The IPE Student Certificate at Grand Valley State is a year-long program designed to build skills in interprofessional communication and collaborative practice through didactic, simulation-based, and independent-research-based co-learning. Students from participating MIPERC member organizations enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, or professional programs in health disciplines are encouraged to participate.

What are the benefits?

Health care agencies and institutions require staff to work together for the delivery of safe, patient-centered care. Badge participation provides students opportunities to gain practical, often clinical, experience in interprofessional settings and demonstrates a commitment to interprofessional care as students prepare for employment in health fields. Adding the IPE Student Badge to students’ professional portfolio positions them as strong communicators and supporters of teamwork and collaboration, with experience in practice settings that make them attractive to potential employers.
