Sacred Site Visit - Sikh Society of WM (Feb 2026)

Join the Kaufman Interfaith Institute team and the GVSU Religious Studies Department as we visit:

Sikh Society of West Michigan on Monday, February 16 from 6:00-7:30pm.

Expectations:

Everyone will be asked to remove their shoes and wash their hands upon entering the temple.
There may also be opportunities to sit on the floor, though chairs can be made available for anyone who may need one.
Also, all guests will be asked to cover their heads while visiting. If you do not have a scarf, bandana, or similar covering, one will be provided for you. No hats or hoods please!
Last but not least, our Sikh hosts will be serving us a communal meal called langar as a part of our visit. This meal is always vegetarian and very tasty, so bring an appetite!
