Join us on Friday, December 5, from 12–1 p.m. at the Acton Institute Auditorium in Grand Rapids (98 E. Fulton St.) for a moderated panel discussion featuring representatives of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Together they’ll explore “Abraham and the Foundations of a Free Society,” reflecting on how the story of Abraham —and the values of faith, justice, and moral responsibility rooted in his legacy—can inform freedom and civic life today. Light refreshments will be served at 11:30 a.m. Free Admission.
Children of Abraham Day is a Metro Detroit–based interfaith initiative that celebrates the shared heritage of the Abrahamic faiths and fosters dialogue among these traditions. Since 2020, the holiday has been celebrated on the first Friday of December, encouraging followers of the Abrahamic traditions to build understanding and respect through shared reflection.
