Events set to celebrate Campus Interfaith Week

From a Habitat for Humanity build to "Speedfaithing," many activities are planned to celebrate Campus Interfaith Week, March 25-30.
Kevin McIntosh, coordinator of Campus Interfaith Resources, said the purpose of the week is to raise awareness of the diversity of religious and ideological frameworks and provide the campus community with opportunities to engage in respectful dialogues.
Highlights of the week's events are below, for more information and a complete schedule, visit gvsu.edu/campusinterfaith/ifw. All events are approved for LIB 100/201 courses.
• Student Experience Panel: March 25, 4-6 p.m., Kirkhof Center, room 2270: Students from different religious, secular and spiritual traditions will discuss their experiences.
• Speedfaithing: March 28, 4-6 p.m., Kirkhof Center, room 0072: An interactive activity for Lakers to meet other Lakers and ask questions for 90 seconds about religious traditions before moving to another person.
• Holi, Festival of Color: March 29, 1-3 p.m., outside Kirkhof Center: The Hindu festival of colors ushers in spring with a literal blast of colors; participants are encouraged to wear a white shirt they wouldn't mind getting colors on.
• Habitat Build: March 30, 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m., meet at Kirkhof Center: Join Campus Interfaith Resources and West Michigan Interfaith Council for a habitat build, transportation to site and lunch provided. RSVP online at gvsu.edu/campusinterfaith.
