Where to Advertise Your Job
Where We Post Your Job
It is highly recommended that all faculty positions are posted in a national publication. To help with the higher cost associated with national publications, the Office of the Provost typically purchases a discount package in the Chronicle of Higher Education. Please contact your Dean's office for more information.
Hourly positions do not require additional advertising, but it is an option available to you. Human Resources will assist with the posting if requested. Please review the current publications that we partner with.
The cost associated with the advertisement is paid by the department who is hiring for the position.
In addition to the GVSU Jobs site, Indeed and Glassdoor, we highly recommend that AP positions be posted to social media where you see fit.
LinkedIn is a great source of networking and identifying candidates for these roles. Please review the guidelines below to post your job to LinkedIn. Each individual LinkedIn user is allowed 1 job posting at a time, free of charge.
Promoting Positions on Indeed
All GVSU job positions are scraped to Indeed, but that does not include advertising of the job. If you would like to promote a job position on Indeed, the Talent Acquisition team will advertise the job on your behalf.
Please follow the steps below to promote a position on Indeed:
- Identify the position you would like to promote on Indeed
- Contact a Talent Acquisition Specialist with the title and Job Requisition number of the position
- Meet with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to discuss budget and length of time for promotion of position on Indeed
- The Talent Acquisition Specialist posts the position on Indeed and promotes for the length of time discussed
- Once the promotion period is over, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will close the position posting
- Human Resources will bill your department at the beginning of the following month once an invoice and receipt has been received by GVSU
