The History Department is constantly trying to do what we can to support both our current and graduated students, and in an effort to give both history and group social studies majors an advantage upon graduation, we've created jobs boards for both programs! Both boards have current standing job postings from employers, and both are reviewed daily in an effort to keep things as accurate as possible. Job postings will be added for positions that can be found within Michigan, the United States, and possibly some abroad opportunities for those that are feeling adventurous ☻

In a recent survey we conducted in collaboration with our department's own alumni (those that graduated with a History or Group Social Studies degree), we found that people wish there was a clearer track to careers post-graduation. With our new job boards, current students can get an idea of what kinds of jobs are being recruited for, while our alumni and soon-to-be alumni can begin applying for anything that aligns with their interest or research!

Monday through Friday, our office team will be reviewing the job postings we've already uploaded to ensure they're still available and take down any that have expired. We'll also be actively searching for new opportunities that we can bring more awareness to. To ensure we have a diverse selection of opportunities, we'll be looking at a variety of industries. Feel free to organize each Job Board in the way that makes sense for you by clicking the title at the top of a column. For example: want to see what opportunities there are in Michigan?
