James Moyer, associate vice president for Facilities Planning and member of the President's Cabinet, will retire March 31. During Moyer's 22-year career at Grand Valley, he managed the development of more than 4 million square feet of expansion at the university, including major building projects at the Allendale and Grand Rapids campuses and centers in Muskegon.

The former Performing Arts Center on the Allendale Campus has gone through an extensive renovation and will reopen in time for the fall semester.
